Do you prefer "normal" games or "anonymous" games?
« on: August 11, 2017, 09:17:58 AM »

The age-old debate rages on!

Personally, I prefer anonymous games.  I just don't like all of the drama of sending emails to other players and trying to get them to do favors for me.  It's just too much time and work for little satisfaction in return.

Plus, half the time what you did to help another players was ultimately for nothing because they just turn on you and attack your positions with their longtime playing friends anyway.

So, share your thought on this topic.  Does human communication make or break a game for you?  Do you like being a "politician and general" or just a "general?"

Vectrex,

Although there are players who know each other for years and some like to ally repeatedly, there are plenty of us who ally one game and don't ally in others. MOST Starweb players try not to backstab, so sorry if you have experienced some turning on you. Of course, it happens, but there is actually a low percentage of that happening, especially to new players.
